Audrey Stephanie Lo Talking pattern Task 2
Task 2
Sushi is a kind of food I love to eat a lot . I had looked into the details of the raw salmon , tuna and different sushi rolls what I get inspiration was the colour combination eg. There are sushi roll filling with cucumber and crab meat , avocado with salmon . The warm colour saturation and the pattern I observed in order to create print. Also, the shapes and textures of sushi gave me ideas . Besides, I have did some research on the history of sushi. Sushi traces its origins back to 1820s, the creator of nigiri sushi . The process of using fermented rice as a fish preservation in order to slow down the bacterial growth of fish. People added salt and acid. However, by the time changes , sushi rolls , poke-bowls , etc., bring along until 20 century . The mix and match that we can create by our own. Last but not least, making sushi roll gives me a feeling of home, joyfulness and warmth . Because when I ate a sushi roll or sushi which were made by our hands , the warmth of the rice and your hands to make it in shape reminds me of home .
