Uncategorised Jemima Slater : Talking Colours Jemima Slater ⋅ 25th November 2020 For this task I looked for colour in my day to day life – walking to classes past the Shepherd’s Bush Market, and objects found in my kitchen and room. My main aim for this task was to avoid drawing the outline of objects as much as possible and to focus only on the colours. I have tried to use a wide range of materials to really explore the different ways of recording colour in my drawings. I used acrylic paints, oil pastels, coloured pencils, inks and collage. I really enjoyed using inks for this task and I feel they were the most successful medium for exploring colour as they are vibrant and bright, and can be used to create lively, energetic drawings. I feel that this task helped to loosen up my drawing and help me create more interesting and dynamic outcomes. It helped me see past the physical objects I was drawing and explore colour in a new way with a range of materials. I think that I probably could have used my materials in a more interesting way in some of my drawings, but I am overall happy with my series Like 2 Liked Liked No Comments « ziyao geng WAYS OF SEEING/ TALKING PATTERNS » Jemima Slater : Ways of Seeing / Talking Patterns Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
