“Way of Seeing”“Talking patterns”
This week’s inspiration still comes from everyday life. All the works adopt the skills of collage or painting.
In the first sunset, I chose oil painting stick to scrape out powder, rub it on paper with a knife, wipe it with a wet cloth, break out the hole, fill the hole with pigment, and decorate it with aluminum foil.
In the second bathroom, I chose to dismantle the bath ball and burn the paper with traces of fire.
For the third piece of meat, I chose dried pork, iron wire and paper with traces left by burning with fire.
For the fourth chocolate cone, I chose the paper imprint.
The fifth loading, expressing the mood of waiting.
In the sixth flower, I chose balloons to create.
For the seventh flower, I choose oil stick and scraping.
The eighth tooth shows the feeling of tooth discomfort.
In the ninth mobile phone, I chose scraping.
The tenth sofa, I chose the building blocks.

For your ways of seeing/talking patterns part. I like how you have used elements of burning and scraping into the paper to add texture. I think this gives the piece more depth and also highlights a different way of seeing what was the there before. I would like to see how you could turn this into repeat patterns or how these would look If printed multiple times. For example, the mobile phone design or even the balloons you could take a photo or scan this and use photoshop if you have it to see how this would look as a pattern.
