AVNI BATRA :Talking Color
Doing the ‘Talking Colour’ task was a great learning for me and I learnt a lot of new things about colour, different mediums and the vast colour theory. My project began with exploring the sky and how beautiful it can look in different colours other than blue. I used many different colours in the sky like purple, yellow and pink. Further I explored different landscapes, flowers and leaves. After, I continued with observing all little things around me such as my half-chopped vegetables, the cup of tea, my shoes and captured those through drawing. What I enjoyed the most in the project was trying my hands-on Neon paints taking inspiration from the graffiti wall. If I could do the project again, I would experiment more with darker colours, instead of focusing on a soft colour palette. Overall, I am quite contented with the knowledge and experience I have gained.

In your “Talking colour” task, I saw lots of detail drawing, before looking your reflective writing, I knew from your painting that you had made a theme about the sky. Not only the blue sky, you also explore many different colour and different view of the sky. For example, I enjoyed your first drawing, you drew it with many amazing colours, made it very attractive and lovely. I especially like the way you draw people, It’s very interesting. I can feel that you put a lot of effort into developing your paintings. I can learn many ways to get inspiration from your drawing, like can explore many details from one object or one place.
