Aliza Akbar Intro To: Ways of Seeing
i used regent’s park as my inspiration for the second task. i feel as though as i was a lot more experimental and loose with my work this task, as i implemented the use of layering of multiple different media’s in a lot of my pieces. i thought about the use of repetition in my work as i made repeats of the same object in my last piece and i thought about the repetition of circular shapes to create depth and add shadows to my piece. i used different perspectives as in my first piece, i drew a rose in the centre and then used the same rose zoomed in for the background. whilst i am very happy with the outcome of my work, i do feel as though i could have been more experimental with some of my middle pieces by maybe adding a light washes of colour throughout.

It is really excited to see your work. The colours are attracting my eyes and I like the way you draw the detail of different flowers. In addition, I like the abstract drawings you made, it makes me realized the connection with your detailed drawings. Also, I like the way you are using the watercolour, it is very abstract and kind of doing a Fauvist style drawing. I am going to give you some suggestions for you further drawings. You can try to do some selected drawing on flowers, like you can choose to focus on only one pieces of the flower and do drawings on the texture on it. Also, you can try to use more than three kind of art materials to make your drawings more vivid and texture~
