I really enjoyed how this blog has some sort of connection throughout, linking all of the experimentations to each other. Even though each piece is quite different in inspiration and colour scheme, they all appear to be from the same collection; due to the technique used and the addition of fine line details. The artist used many different mediums and overlapped them to create dimension and depth, I would’ve liked to see some drawings that didn’t include the fine black lines, as lovely as they are, they just got a bit too repetitive. I thoroughly enjoyed how the artist created a digital repeat of the perfume bottle drawing, it turned out to be an extremely interesting print. The artist also inspired me to use collaging, I was especially drawn to the combinations of mediums and textures. I also really enjoyed the drawings of the everyday objects and belongings, they added personality to the drawings and I thought the fridge drawings in particular were extremely detailed and rustic. However I would still like to see some drawings that didn’t involve the black fine lines, just a bit looser and messier like the drawing of the scrunchie and the underground using oil pastels. Overall I was certainly impressed and inspired and I believe that the artist has accomplished the task at hand effortlessly.
