ziyi liang(linda) ways of seeing
For this task I drew a building called Casa Batllo. This building is also related to the mosaics project I did this time. Many mosaics are used in the building. Both the exterior and interior of the building are very impressive, so I think it is not only a building but also an art work. The color palette in every part of the building is comfortable, and some details are exquisite. So I picked out a lot of the details that I liked and drew them, some of them using lines, some of them using color blocks, and of course I played around and added some ideas of my own. In some pictures, I combine dots, lines and color blocks. I think the picture will look richer in this way. Many of my paintings are only part of the painting, which results in many paintings not looking like a complete work. However, since this building is related to my project, I will continue to improve and apply some software to make it look more complete.

In your Talking Color Task, the style in which paintings are created are explored in great detail. As you repaint the exhibition inspirations with a unique personal style, it gives an insight into how you look at the world. Your work includes a variety of colors and drawing mediums but a consistent element that stands out among all of the drawings is the bold line work. In the ways of seeing work in the next post I feel like your line work is also a strong point of the pieces. I love seeing the attention to detail in all of the drawings. The line work resembles texture and makes the work more three dimensional because of its thoughtful placement. I have not often seen art created in a mosaic style but I feel like it really suits the ideas you were trying to capture. Each of the drawings is so intricate the I can imagine the structure of the subject if it was in fronton me. Over all I think the pieces draw me in because of the line work and pleasing proportions. I really enjoy looking at these pieces because of how eye catching they all are! I am excited to see the rest of your work throughout the year!
