Kaenat Baig ‘Talking Pattern/ways of seeing’ Task 2
The second task was also inspired by fruits, some of the drawings I have repeated from task 1 but have looked deeper into their skin and external walls. I had enjoyed this task more, you could really see fruits/natural forms from different angles. My favourite drawing would definitely have to be the half cut up pomegranate that I did using ink and watercolour. My second favourite would then be the autumn leaves as I enjoyed observing the stems and veins quite close up and I think they turned out pretty amazing which could inspire me for my future patterns in textiles. As you can see I focused more on patterns and details rather than colour as that’s what this unit was all about. Something different I would do is look more closely as I think I could’ve zoomed in much more than I already have and I could of also layered my drawings and also add a patterned background next time.
