I loved looking through your blog posts as your drawings have a lot of technical skill and are quite detailed, I can see that you took time to focus on the textures of the things you were drawing from. The ‘Talking Colour’ task was really exciting to look through as you used lots of different mediums to draw with and so your outcomes are all very different to each other. I loved the painting of the lotus seedpod most, as the colours you used work together in combination really well and you have shown the different shapes and line inside the seedpod in detail. For the second task I thought your drawing of cracks in marker and hook line pen was really beautiful with all the different types of line and mark making. The style you used to create the mountains you were drawing is really interesting and abstract, and could translate really well onto fabric. You could develop these drawings into a 3D form by working with clay or something similar as I feel like you would be able to show the depth and appearance of the surface of the mountain well this way. For your ‘Ways of Seeing’ task you have used a good range of materials and techniques, although you could also experiment with colour more so that you have a more varied colour palette. You have been really productive in both the tasks as you have produced a range of high quality drawings that look at items and still lives from different points of perspective which will be good practice for developing you drawings in future projects.
